On the first day of spring, we gathered together to learn about the wonderful traditions of Iranian culture. We looked at our haft-seen table which is a special arrangement consisting of seven symbolic items that mark the beginning of spring. The children got a chance to feel and explore each object and they even learnt how to speak Farsi.

Chinese Fans 09.01.19 During our English lessons, the children learnt the key features of instructions. They then wrote their own instructions to create Chinese fans. After creating their fans, the children used their listening and speaking skills to demonstrate their instructions. Our children took on roles of, a presenter, a director and a camera man and performed it to the class.

This week started with a visit from Movema! With Movema, the children became captain performers by celebrating languages through dance. 

During Maths the children have been exploring different methods of calculating place value questions. The children have used equipment and team work to solve the answers. With Lily, the children have been practising songs accompanied by piano and guitar.
