18.3.21- Year 1 really enjoyed being Captain inquisitive in RE this week as we learned all about Palm Sunday. We loved re-enacting the story with the palm leaves we had made. Last Friday, year 1 were Captain Imaginative during arty Friday. We loved developing our painting skills and exploring how we can create texture with paint. We have been learning about the upcoming Census. We loved using our maths skills to create tally charts and pictograms to show how we can represent information in lots of different ways.
5.3.21- Year 1 had a fantastic day taking part in World Book Day! We read lots of books and thought about stories that were important to us. We love to read! We have been learning all about plants this week in Science. One of our activities was to explore the plants in our garden or local area. The children have done a fantastic job identifying and describing different plants!
25.2.21- Year 1 have had a busy week with Fairtrade Fortnight, learning about money and creating their own twisted tales.
