27.5.21- This week, Year 2 answered the big question “Would you rather live in the UK or Africa?”. We tried food from both countries, looked at fashion, languages, music, landmarks and much more to help us make our decision! Where do you think won when we made our vote?!
25.5.21- Year 2 have loved making use of our ‘Get Writing’ corner today! We have used picture prompts, sentence starters, nouns, verbs and adjectives to write our own stories. We are very proud of ourselves!
13.5.21- This week, Year 2 have been very busy planting their own sunflower seeds. We have already experimented with fully grown plants to see what conditions they need to survive and now we are going to use these to help our own plants grow!
7.5.21- This week, Year 2 had a very mysterious parcel left in their classrooms along with a letter from Rafiki! We found lots of objects in the box from Africa and we found out that they all help us to feel calm and to stop us from worrying!
26.3.21- Year 2 were very excited to have an Easter Egg hunt this morning.
16.3.21- Year 2 were very lucky to have a very special visitor yesterday. Mark Featherstone-Witty, the CEO of LIPA and one of our governors came to tell us all about his life and what it was like in the 1960s. We loved asking lot of interesting questions and hearing all of his stories!
12.3.21- Year 2 have really enjoyed learning about the census this week! We have made pictograms and tally charts to represent our data and we have also asked each other some census style questions!
10.3.21- Year 2 have loved being back in school together this week. They created Jars of Positivity to celebrate being back together!
5.3.21- Year 2 have been writing some amazing non-chronological reports about the 1960s.
26.2.21- This week Year 2 have been learning all about Fairtrade. We made posters to show what we know!
