11.5.22- What’s the difference between Hollywood and Bollywood? This week, year 4 have looked at Bollywood style and designed their own clothing based on the Bollywood dance video we are currently learning.
6.5.22- Year 4 have been exploring stories from another culture. This term our book in English is 'Grandpa Chatterji'.
8.4.22- Year four took part in an Easter egg hunt for their Maths lesson today.
6.4.22- Year 4 had a mighty Anglo Saxon Feast to celebrate all of their learning this half term. Cheers!

21.3.22- Year 4 loved the campfire at Colomendy!

9.3.22- Year 4 have been learning about a new text 'The Anglo Saxon Boy' through drama.
8.3.22- Year 4 have been creating Anglo Saxon settlements using clay during PBL.
7.3.22- Our children in Year 4 immersed themselves in learning about perimeter by using meter sticks and rulers to measure objects around the room.
18.2.22- Year 4’s project outcome was fantastic! They have worked so hard this half term exploring Ancient Rome! Check out their exhibition.
10.2.22- Year 4 had great fun making Roman chariots ready for their project outcome next week.
4.2.22- Penny Lane, year 4, have loved celebrating number day. We have played lots of games linked to our learning and created some maths crown to show off our maths knowledge from the year so far.
2.2.22- Year 4 have been acting out the story of Boudicca this week as they immerse into their persuasive writing area of English. I wonder who they will persuading next week….
18.1.22- Year 4 have been finding out about the relationships between decimals and fractions today through base ten and place value.
11.1.21- Year 4 have been hot seating as Romans today and even created their own Roman shields.
6.1.22- Year four have been exploring fractions with cuisenaire rods this week. How many equal parts is it split up into? What is the fraction? We found halves all the way through to tenths.
22.11.21- Year 4 received a reply from @jk_rowling after sending her our versions of 'the Midnight Duel' from The Philosophers Stone. In the letter, she said our ideas and were 'wonderful' and thanked us!
15.11.21- Year 4 have designed their odd socks today after a big discussion around differences and celebrating all the things that makes us unique and make our friends and family who they are.
12.11.21- Year 4 have been learning about explanation texts and have spent the week immersing and analysing into what they’re all about.
11.11.21- Year 4 planned and took part in a debate this week posing the question ‘Would you like to go to Hogwarts?’
1.11.21- During PE today we created a Halloween dance and performed it to each other. We really enjoyed all the creative and ghoulish dance moves!
20.10.21- Y4 had FACT in to teach the children all about digital music! We finished the session with a party using all the songs we had created.
21.10.21- Quidditch tournament in Year 4 was so much fun to bring our half term to a close. Harry Potter does not stop there for Year 4 though as they will continue with this project up to Christmas!
20.10.21- As part of our DT and PE objectives, we created broomsticks and had our very own Quidditch match! Our class had wonderful team work whilst also being immersed into our a Harry Potter project.
18.10.21- Today Y4 had FACT in to teach the children all about digital music! We finished the session with a party using all the songs we had created.
15.10.21- Year 4 took their English lesson outside to write poetry about the trees.
15.10.21- Year 4 have been busy this week making fantastic beasts inspired by our Harry Potter project. During English, we have started learning about poetry. In this lesson, the children got the chance to perform our poem of the day. We have also been using our place value mats to find out the answers to subtraction questions.
12.10.21- Year 4 have planned and set up a fair test this afternoon to find out how evaporation works.
11.10.21- Year 4 loved being creative whilst thinking about how important it is to look after our minds and the minds of others. We were inspired by Charlie Mackesy's book called The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse.
6.10.21- Year 4 went on their first school trip of the year as they explored the Harry Potter film locations around our city.
1.10.21- Rachael Diop's boys came into school and inspired Year 4 with their musical talents... they played the Hedwig theme tune which was amazing!
1.10.21- Year 4 have kicked off celebrating Black History Month with an African dance tutorial by Sally from SoMi.
28.9.21- Y4 deepened their learning about states of matter by taking part in an exciting experiment.
24.9.21- Maths Party Day!
24.9.21- Amazing homework creations from year 4. They were given the task to make their own wands alongside writing their own spell as part of their homework tasks this week.
24.9.21- Year 4 creating Roman Numerals and Y4 working as a team to learn about their map skills by finding the film locations of Harry Potter during PBL.
23.9.21- Roman Numeral chanting in Year 4 this week!
17.9.21- Thanks to some fabulous year 5 pupils who stepped into the roles of Harry, Hermione and Ron to answer year 4’s questions about their characters.
15.9.21- Year four had a potion making master class inspired by Harry Potter today!
10.9.21- Year 4 have been making musical shakers as part of their music lesson today!
9.9.21- Year 4 have been peer marking today, having great conversations about their star qualities of their writing and discussing things they can do to help each other next time. Great partner work!
8.9.21- Year 4 have been placed into their house teams today with the magical sorting hat!
3.9.21- Year 4 have been showing off their art skills to their new teachers this week by mixing colour and painting in the style of Leonid Afremov. The teachers are very impressed!
