Learning through the creative and performing arts
Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment. If, as a parent of a pupil attending this school, you require a paper copy of the information on this website, we shall provide this free of charge upon request.
You may have heard in the press recently, or your child may have already mentioned to you about a forthcoming mass sponsored walk, which is taking place on Friday 19th May at 2pm at hundreds of schools up and down the country. Walk 4 Wildlife is an event that raises money for animal charities, both here in the UK and around the world.
We are delighted to support this very worthwhile cause and to be taking part in the walk, which also hopes to set a new Guinness World Record™ for the most people walking at the same time in an organised event. We will be raising money for Freshfields Animal Rescue. For more information about our chosen charity please visit www.freshfields.org.uk
Last Thursday, we had Jude Lennon from the Bobby Colleran Trust come into school to talk to the children at our assembly.
Jude has recently published her second 'Super Bob' book and during her visit read her book to the children.
The first book focuses on general road safety while the new book is about careless and dangerous parking outside schools.
Our Reception classes visited Farmer Ted's farm last week.
They met lots of different kinds of animals and had a lovely time in the beautiful weather.
Thank you to all our helpers to help make a very successful day.
On Friday, 19th May, from 6pm, LIPA Primary School will be hosting an Art Auction to raise funds in order to purchase suitable playground equipment for the children. The art works for auction will be on view on Thursday, 18th May, at LIPA Primary School from 5 - 6.30pm.
We have worked proactively to raise over £15,000 to install artificial grass and have a very supportive Parent Teacher Association called LIPA Friends who work hard to raise funds for our school. They are helping with the Art Auction which is being arranged with local Liverpool artists.
We hope that you will take the time to attend the Art Auction evening which will include wine and nibbles. Please feel free to let others know who you think would be interested in attending.
